Privacy policy

This site is run by Artie Codes Pty Ltd (ABN 77 653 043 102), an Australian company that trades as Artie. The person behind it, and the person you deal with, is Richie Tyler. In this policy, "we" means Artie Codes Pty Ltd. This page explains what personal information we collect through artie.codes, what we do with it, and your choices.

What we collect

• Discovery form (/start). Your name, email, company, role and whatever you tell us about your business and goals.
• Manual work calculator (/calculator). The task details and numbers you enter, plus your email. Your name and company are optional.
• Newsletter. Your email address, if you subscribe here or tick the optional box on the calculator.
• Project brief (/brief). Your name, email, company and the detailed answers you give about your business, systems, goals, timing and budget. If you arrive from a link in an email from me, the form starts with the details you already gave me.

This site does not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or any third-party tracking scripts. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run and secure the site.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, scope a project.
• To prepare a draft summary, reply and estimate from a project brief. An AI service helps write the draft; I read, edit and decide everything before anything is sent to you.
• To email you the calculator report you requested.
• To send occasional articles, only if you opted in. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Who handles it

• Resend delivers form notifications and reports, and stores newsletter contacts.
• Cloudflare hosts the site, processes requests to it, and stores project briefs in its database (see below for how long).
• Anthropic provides the AI service used to draft from a project brief. Only the answers you give in the brief form are sent to it, and I do not send it anything else about you.

These providers operate internationally, so your information may be processed outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while a conversation or project is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Project briefs stored in the database are deleted automatically after 90 days, though a copy of your answers stays in my email for as long as the conversation is active. Newsletter contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or unsubscribe from emails, through the contact form. If you are not happy with how we handle a request, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above will change with it.
